Title
Legend of St. Ursula: Dream of St. Ursula
Description
The lady sleeping in the bed is an image of Princess Usrula, the daughter of King Norus of Brittany in the 5th century AD. She was very beautiful and wise which caused her to have many suitors. The King of Anglia wanted his son to marry her, so she agreed but only after a waiting period of 3 years. She decided to go on a journey to Rome to take advantage of her final time of freedom. One night where they had stopped in Cologne, she is visited by an angel as she sleeps in a bed alone. The angle reveals her future martyrdom. She converted many men to Christianity but was slain by an arrow through her heart when she returned to Cologne.
