Allegory and Mystical stories

This painting is telling the story of The Choice of Hercules. The young Hercules was standing in front of the crossroad, one road seemed very pretty but has a meaningless ending, while the other road did not have any decorations but the ending is a pretty blue mountain. Then a young woman showed up and told him that he needs to earn everything with hard work and nothing will come free. 

This is a story of a slave was caught by his masters of him praying on the tomb of San Marco. The slave's master blinded the slave's eye and broke his legs. But the miraculous San Marco intervene in the torture and restored the slave's health. 

This is a story of two young venuses, one with adorned beauty and one without adorned. The two venues are thought to be twins but represent two different types of love, the human and the divine. 

This painting is telling a story between Bacchus and Ariadne. Ariadne was abandoned on this island by Theseus and fall in love with Bacchus at first sight.
